A Sprint to the Finish

Jun 3, 2016 | Cross Country, Sports

This year’s cross country season was a major success, with the team winning every single Private School Athletic League (PSAL) race. The team ran in ten races across the Bay Area including the Lagoon Valley Classic, Artichoke Invitational, Lowell Invitational, Crystal Springs Invitational, Stanford Invitational, Westmoor Invitational, three PSAL Meets, and the Mt. SAC race in LA. The team did an amazing job in the first PSAL meet with Juliette L. winning first place for girls varsity and Jake L. winning first place for the boys varsity team. They did so well that “at the

PSAL Meet #2, we all were put into teams within our school and had a competition between them,” said Peter E. a 10th grader on the team. The second PSAL race also went well with Juliette running one of the fastest times by a Division 5 girl in the past fifteen years at Crystal Springs cross country course. The time Juliette ran would have placed her 1st at the State Championship in the years 2001, 2007, 2009 & 2013! Overall, it was a great season with lots of personal and team successes.

Peter was interviewed about the cross country team.
