Willow T. C. Y.
Willow, the Editor-in-Chief this year and a politic-loving breed of Asian American, joined The Nueva Current her freshman year as the Managing Editor. This year, she wants to focus on pushing the level of writing to its maximum potential and expanding the influence and reputation of the paper.
She enjoys a lot of things to an unhealthily large amount: food, reading, bouts of both procrastinating and working, playing volleyball, Aaron Sorkin works, working on the paper, politics, code-switching, complaining about others’ email unresponsiveness, and, most importantly, commas.
Joining the paper in the fall of 2017 of her sophomore year, Isabel started her journalism career as the paper’s Culture Editor in their staff of nine. Despite not being enrolled in the official journalism class for the fall of 2018, Isabel worked outside of her other classes to produce work for the
In her free time, Isabel can be found competing gymnastics, eating food, working at the local candy store, reading, or snuggling with her two cats.

His main goal for the paper is to achieve a style that speaks to the school’s culture, the community, and the articles that are contained within each issue. She is currently working on her twelfth novel and participates in NaNoWriMo annually.

Sports EditorAnika had a lot of fun working for The Nueva Current alongside her editorial position on the literary magazine. When she was not editing sports articles for the Current, you could find her struggling with Adobe Illustrator, finding her soul at SoulCycle, or brunching with friends.
Sports EditorElaine spent time editing for The Nueva Current in its first year, having worked on other Nueva publications like design work for the yearbook and literary magazine. In her free time, Elaine is either eating cornflakes, making cool things in art class, or pestering Anika.
